We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to source us a trustworthy tradesperson for our home improvement. We joined and listed our needs, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

It all starts with their sneaky costs, which they hide in the legalese. Then, there's the terrible helpline that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like pulling teeth.

Then, the customer service from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.
